For cocktail this episode, Alexis presents The Tepache Kid, created by mixologist Alex Valencia in NYC, from Guadalajara Mexico. Inspired by Caramiya’s love for travel and fermented juices, Alexis choose to make this cocktail consisting of Tequila, homemade tamarind syrup, angostura bitters, and pineapple.

We learn the range of styles to make Tepache across Mexico’s regions, and background on how Mexico and America preference for tequila drinking has evolved. We also touch on some other topics including a fruiting Bromeliad, Tequila Superpowers, and Alexis’s friendship “type.”
